Our fixed broadband
wireless high-speed Internet service allows customers to access
the Internet without the use of cable or telephone lines. Our
service uses 2.4Ghz radio-based point-to-multipoint connections.
Please review the following diagram to see how our service
works:

The service is delivered to your
location using the 802.11 Wireless Networking standard. After
the cell tower receives the information it is then delivered to
the Internet. Also, any information received for your location
is delivered in the same manner. In many plans you will receive
1.5 Mb (megabits) download speed and get 128k or higher upload
speed. Speed will vary according to different service plans
available.
Speeds advertised here may vary
depending on network conditions and traffic on the network at
the time of use. “Down” speed refers to the speed at which the
user receives data. “Up” speed refers to the speed at which the
user sends data.
All you
need to access the Internet with Net One Plus Wireless Service
is to be in a location within "line of sight" to one of our many
towers. This does not mean you have to be able to see the
tower—only that the signal is able to travel to your location
from our tower. The equipment you need is as follows:
- A
computer
- An
Internet access account with Net One Plus.
- A
Network Interface Card (NIC).
- A
compatible Operating System.
Net One
Plus Wireless Service is provided for a single computer.
Additional computers can be added for our customers who are
networked (additional charges may apply). Our built-in DHCP
server makes configuration quick and easy. You do not need a
router. All you need to get several computers online is a hub
and enough Ethernet cable to connect all of your computers.
Net One
Plus Wireless Service Internet connectivity uses the same
spread-spectrum technology originally designed for secure
military communications. The Customer Premise Equipment (CPE)
includes a firewall, which will keep your Internet connection
even more secure. Additionally, MAC Layer 2 filtering prevents
anyone from eavesdropping on data transmissions. Some of these
security features will not allow for the use of some
applications. For details on these applications please call us
at 904-838-9358.
To install
Net One Plus Wireless Service at your location, we place a small
antenna outside your home or
office and a CPE near your computer or hub. The data between
your computer and the Internet travels via harmless radio waves
to our tower. It is then transmitted to the Internet. This is
done after we complete a site survey/installation to determine
if your location qualifies for service. The CPE is only 8" x 10"
and the antenna is just 12" x 14". The antenna is typically
located under the eave of the house, or in some other
inconspicuous place and is generally mounted on a 2-foot mast.
The antenna is what sends and receives Net One Plus’ high-speed
signal. CAT-5 Ethernet cable is then run from the CPE to your
computer or hub. This cable cannot exceed 100 meters.
A
technician will determine if a viable signal is available at
your location. If a signal is available, your service will be
installed within 2-10 working days or less, depending on our
installation schedule. If you have further questions, please
call 904-838-9358.

determine if you have access to Net One Plus Wireless Service is
to submit an order and have a site survey/install completed,
which can be done by clicking here. It costs you nothing to have
us do a site survey. It is part of Net One Plus' commitment to
prompt, quality customer service. Net One Plus Wireless
high-speed Internet connectivity is priced competitively to
residential and business DSL, but with no hidden charges or
fees. You do not need to purchase the antenna or the CPE, as
they remain the property of Net One Plus and KeyOn
Communications.
